Interface object version

I woke up this morning to a bunch of support tickets about cpanel. It wasn’t running and no one could login to their control panel. I tried to restart cpanel with the following command:

/usr/local/cpanel/cpsrvd start

and the full error was:
IO::Interface object version 1.03 does not match $IO::Interface::VERSION 1.02.

I resolved this by running the following via SSH:
/scripts/upcp –force

Then I was able to restart cpanel successfully – and close out the tickets 🙂
