Changing DNS on a Canadian Domain .ca

To change the dns on a .ca domain name you have to use a different format. When you login to the domain registrar you usually enter in the new nameservers.

i.e.
ns.domain.com
ns2.domain.com

For .ca domains you must use a different format. Here’s the correct format that you must enter into the nameserver fields:

IP–NAMESERVER
IP–NAMESERVER2

i.e.
0.0.0.0–ns.domain.com
0.0.0.1–ns2.domain.com
